Well, it has been a pleasantly relaxing few days here in Barcelona.
We've been sleeping in and only getting to about one or two things per day. Which is actually proving to be quite nice.
The first day we got to spend at the beach which, albeit slightly chilly and breezy, was also nice and relaxing and sunny! TJ decided to actually go swimming, which turned out to be quite cold, and we found a tonne of tiny little shells all over the place. Twas a lovely day.

The cold clearly not deterring some die-hard surfers! |

Cold/warm in the sun on the beach in Barcelona. Holla. |
Next day we explored downtown and around a super cool old cathedral, which had these strange grave markers all over the floor, underneath the pews, some of them with skull and crossbones on them! Strange... Because... Church... Anybody know what they mean? Interessant. Also cool cathedral. And kind of out of the way, so not too many people.

I have a thing for these windows. Mmmmm. |

One of those weird skull/crossbones things on a grave inside the church. Anyone know what they mean? Pretty cool... |
Next day we headed up to Castell de Montjuic to check out the views from up there, which was fantastic. And we explored the castle itself and around the grounds and such. Twas quite cool.

I also have a thing for hallways. Oh yes. |
Which brings us to today- CHRISTMAS EVE! Very exciting. So yes. I suppose I don't have much to say. Actually, now it is Christmas. Clock just struck midnight. And by struck, I mean the numbers just changed on the digital clock on my computer. Slightly less exciting than the actual chime of a clock.
So we've spent the week here completely relaxing, watching Christmas movies all around- Nightmare Before Christmas, National Lampoon's Christmas Vactaion (a classic), Iron Man (not so Christmassy, but Julia insisted), and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. So it's been fun. And now we sit here, full of pineapple and Nutella and pretzels, TJ updating us on Santa's whereabouts via Santa Tracker, and a kangaroo, race car, smurf, and soccer ball on the table, it is officially Christmas and [almost] everyone has presents for one another, it is time to say farewell, so long, goodbye, AND MERRY CHRISTMAS!
